Fusen Fusa (also known as Fugen Bosatsu or Samantabhadra) thangka is a sacred Buddhist painting depicting the Bodhisattva of universal virtue, wisdom, and compassion. , revered in Mahayana Buddhism as the Bodhisattva of Great Practice, Meditation, and Virtue. Seated in a relaxed royal posture (lalitasana) atop a lotus throne borne by a magnificent white elephant—a sacred mount symbolizing the steadfast strength, patience, and power of spiritual practice—the serene deity holds a blooming blue lotus stem with both hands raised near the chest. Wrapped in rich royal blue robes with vibrant orange silk lower garments, an elaborate golden crown, and fine jewelry, Samantabhadra is framed by a glowing halo against a soft backdrop of misty mountains and clouds, with traditional auspicious offerings arranged neatly along the lower foreground.
